Travel Photo| Philippine island paradise Siquijor

San Juan beach Siquijor, Philippines

Paradise: Siquijor, Philippines

I think this picture speaks for itself; paradise!  Just imagine that I only paid .75 cents to sleep in a tent on this beach, which was well worth the view.  In the distance you can see the island of Negros Oriental and the city of Dumaguete where I was staying with some friends.  Dumaguete is a university town and can be pretty busy, so when I asked my friends where we should go for a short trip, they took me to this island paradise.

I shot this picture at San Juan beach around mid day, and as I write this, I can’t help but remember how much fun we had exploring Siquijor island by motor-scooter, jumping off waterfalls, and walking the islands deserted beaches.  This beach is by far the most spectacular beach I have ever seen, so when I found out this was the place we were spending the night I was pumped.  From catching crabs a low tide to sipping rum at sundown, this place was only made better by the awesome people I got to hang out there with!

Happy travels,

Yak
