Get out of old town and hit the cliffs

Making a lunch trip from Dubrovnik to the tiny island of Lokrum epic

For 60 Kuna ($ 11 return) you wont find a much cheaper attraction than the boat from Dubrovnik to Lokrum, a tiny island 15 min ride from the city port.  Nicknamed the pearl of the Adriatic (for its white marble old town) Dubrovnik is Croatia’s number one tourist attraction.  So when you’ve had enough of the tourists, heat, and familiar old town setting it’s time to move on, and there’s no better place than Lokrum.

Lokrum is the perfect place to find a quiet setting, eat your lunch and sun bathe before ending your time with some epic cliff jumping.  Of course there’s hiking on the tiny island, a tourist restaurant (which isn’t to expensive), and a grotto.  But if you want the real deal, you’re going to have to head to the back of the island, hike down some cliffs, and find a cool spot to hang!
