Taking Flight:

The old capital city of Kazakhstan is a beautiful place.  Bordering the Tian Shan mountain range, the largest city in Kazakhstan is rich in cultural history.  This is one of the most spectacular cathedrals in the city.  When you consider that Almaty, one of the worlds top 50 most expensive cities, even more so than LA and Toronto, a free photograph like this is worth the visit.

Capturing a picture of the Ascentin Cathedral was easy but finding the perfect moment to get the people near the carriage and the birds flying was all about waiting for the opportunity.  The birds circled by for minutes before I snapped the shutter on this one.
