Family stops along the shores of the Yamuna River in Agra, India

Taj Mahal family at sunset:

I was waiting for the sun to set, while sitting on the shores of the Yamuna River over looking the Taj Mahal, when a goat ran by me.  This family stopped to help it, and I was lucky enough to capture the moment.

Watching the sun set on the Taj Mahal was a magical experience and I highly recommend taking the trip if you find yourself in Agra, India.

To get to the Yamuna River you can hire a tuk tuk.  For the equivalent of about $5 (for the day), you should be able to finagle a deal  where someone will take you to all the famous Agra sites with a meal stop (Baby Taj, Taj Mahal, Agra fort, and the shores of the Yamuna behind the Taj).

The Taj Mahal is one of the most incredible architectural monuments I’ve ever seen.  In the right light the white marble Taj Mahal comes alive.  The Taj Mahal is a photographers dream subject, and along the shores of the Yamuna river, behind the Taj Mahal, is an incredible vantage point to get a unique angle for the perfect photograph.

Sometimes being in the right place at the right time works out for amateur photographers, it’s the pro’s who visualize an image  before they photograph it.  With a spot like this you can become a pro too visualizing then capturing the perfect image.

Happy shooting,

Yak
