Video|Experiencing English Premier League Football

West Ham United vs Manchester City in London, England

I heard somewhere that sports give a glimpse into the heart of a culture.  The collective are inextricably linked to the sports they love, and being a part of that is an incredibly eye opening experience.  Americans and American football, Canadians and hockey, Filipinos and basketball, South Africans and Rugby the list goes on and on.

Naturally, while visiting London, England in October 2012 I wanted to experience the culture of an English Premier League football game.  With Arsenal and Liverpool sold out, the best game of the week was West Ham vs Man City.  From the local West Ham supporters pub to front row at Boleyn Ground stadium, I was able to experience a truly English past-time, a cultural link to a sport the British worship.

Spending Sunday mornings in Canada watching English Premier League football did not prepare me for how amazing the experience was.  Enjoying Carlsberg between halves, chatting with locals in the concourse, and visiting the local pub for a post game 3-1 loss celebration for West Ham United.
