For many nomadic families, horses provide a source of income, food, and transportation. In today’s technological age, where everything is accessible and instant, it’s hard to believe that nomadic Mongolians are able to continue living so close to nature (with a few added luxuries like solar panels).
It’s here near Mongolia’s Mini Gobi Desert that I was able to experience a glimpse of nomadic life in the Mongolian grasslands. This photograph of a father and son preparing a horse saddle was taken a few minutes before venturing out into the grassy abyss.
